Avala Tower,Avala,Belgrade. / Nothing's real but love.

Hello everyone! I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything for a while,but I was on a spring break in Belgrade and I had an awesome time there! So now,I prepared a lots of photos to share with you in the next couple of posts! I hope you'll like the photos ! :) Now a little bit about Avala Tower. 

The Avala Tower is a 204.5 m (671 ft) tall telecommunication tower located on Avala mountain in the periphery of Belgrade. The tower was designed by architects Uglješa Bogdanović and Slobodan Janjić, and engineer Milan Krstić. Construction started on 14 October 1961 and was completed four years later in 1965. The tower weighed 4,000 tonnes.It was destroyed in NATO bombardment of Serbia on 29 April 1999. On 21 December 2006, the reconstruction of Avala Tower commenced and the tower was officially opened at a ceremony on 21 April 2010. It is currently the tallest tower in Serbia.

The Monument to the Unknown Hero is located atop Mt. Avala in the south-east Belgrade periphery, and was designed by the sculptor Ivan Meštrović.The construction of this monument was ordered by King Alexander I of Yugoslavia, to commemorate the victims of World War I. In order to show his support for Yugoslav unity, the King ordered that this monument include caryatids representing all the nations over which he governed following the creation of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes. They represent Serb woman from Sumadija; a woman from Slavonia and Vojvodina, a woman from Montenegro and Kosovo; Croat women from Dalmatia and Zagorje,one Slovene and one Macedonian woman.The Monument to the Unknown Hero was declared Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance in 1987, and it is protected by Republic of Serbia. 

I had such a great time there! The weather was amazing-sunny but a little bit windy.At the time I went there ,there were held auto races or how do you call those things,so we couldn't go to the top by car.I walked for like an hour to the monument but it was worth of it. :) The Avala Tower is so beautiful,and if you can look at its top without feeling dizzy - congrats! The view from the Tower is amazing,it's like you can see every single thing around you.The monument is about 15 minutes away from the Tower  and it's just beautiful. The funny thing is that when I looked at the monument I felt like I was in China (!),probably because it reminded me of Chinese temples.The view from the monument is also very beautiful and you feel like you're on the top of the world! I had such a great time and I recommend everyone who is able to go to Belgrade to visit this amazing place! :)
